On September 6, 2025, Baghdad will hold the Baghdad International Energy Forum, one of the most important international events in the field of energy at the regional and global level.
The Baghdad International Energy Forum is not just a forum, conference or economic gathering, but a global energy platform, especially since Iraq has begun to enter the global gas market by starting to export large quantities of propane gas, most recently the export of 20,000 tons of gas to the Republic of China.
The Secretary General of OPEC, OPEC member states, ministers of oil and gas exporting countries, as well as representatives of international companies will all be present in Baghdad to open the Baghdad International Energy Forum, organized by the Ghadan Risk Management Foundation in cooperation with the Iraqi Ministry of Oil.
Prime Minister Mohammed Shi'a Al-Sudani will open the Baghdad Energy Forum on September 6-7, which will include four sessions on the global energy system, the dynamics of oil prices and financial markets, the oil industry and its impact, and the downstream and refining industries.
The presence of such sessions in the presence of strong personalities at the level of ministers, heads of international organizations and companies, experts and consultants in the field of oil and gas reflects the importance of Iraq to enter the energy market from its widest doors, not only in the field of oil, but also in other areas, the most important of which is gas.
On Saturday and Sunday, the words, statements and press releases coming out of the Baghdad Forum will affect oil prices and have a direct impact on the global energy market.
