Foreign Minister: The Baghdad International Energy Forum is an important event for Iraq and OPEC
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein stressed the importance of the Baghdad International Energy Forum for Iraq, OPEC and regional countries.
"The Baghdad International Forum talks about the energy file and its sectors of oil, gas and alternative energy, as well as the intensive qualitative presence of specialists and oil officials from various countries, is to exchange views and reach important recommendations under this file, especially with regard to environmental challenges and linking energy to these challenges," Hussein said in a statement to reporters following his participation in the opening of the forum's activities today, Saturday.
He added that "the Baghdad International Energy Forum is concerned with these means and discusses their mechanisms and ensure the success of their treatments," noting that "the capital Baghdad is the main center from which OPEC was founded, and therefore the holding of the forum is an important event for Iraq, Baghdad and OPEC."
