Prime Minister Mohammed Shi'a Al-Sudani stressed on Saturday the importance of the Baghdad International Energy Forum, which will be held in the capital Baghdad on September 6 and 7, with the participation of major international energy companies, as well as energy ministers, experts and specialists from several countries.
"Iraq attaches great importance to the development of the energy sector to enhance its role in the stability of global oil markets and keep pace with the shifts towards renewable energies," the Prime Minister said while receiving the invitation to open the forum from Dr. Abbas Al Ameri, Director of the Ghadan Risk Management Foundation, pointing out that the forum represents a strategic opportunity to enhance partnerships and attract investments to serve sustainable development.
