Dr. Abbas Radi Al-Amiri, President of the Ghadan Risk Management Foundation, met with the Director General of the Oil Marketing Company (SOMO), Engineer Ali Nizar, on Thursday, where the two sides discussed the ongoing preparations for the launch of the Baghdad International Energy Forum.
Dr. Al Ameri stressed that the preparatory committee of the forum invited OPEC energy ministers, as well as international and local companies operating in the energy sector, in addition to experts and specialists, praising the great cooperation of the Ministry of Oil, SOMO and other concerned parties in making this event a success.
For his part, Engineer Ali Nizar described the forum as "an important step to highlight Iraq's position in the world," stressing that the event is an important opportunity to formulate new energy policies and encourage foreign companies to engage in Iraqi projects.
The meeting concluded with a discussion of the forum's program, which will be launched in Baghdad on September 6 and 7, 2025, with the participation of a wide range of international and regional figures in the energy sector.
