Ministry of Oil confirms wide participation in Baghdad International Energy Forum
As part of the preparations for the Baghdad International Energy Forum (BIEF), the Ministry of Oil has announced the participation of leading international agencies and institutions in the fields of market analysis and energy policy formulation, reflecting the forum's position as an international platform for dialogue and strategic planning in the energy sector.
International organizations such as the International Energy Forum (IEF) and the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF), as well as specialized economic and analytical institutions that follow global market shifts, including Argus, S&P Global Platts, Kepler, Energy Intelligence and Energy Aspects, which are known to provide markets with the information and data that decision makers and investors around the world rely on.
The forum is organized by the Ghadan Risk Management Foundation in cooperation with the Iraqi Ministry of Oil, the Iraqi Oil Export Company (SOMO), the Iraqi Institute for Dialogue, the Central Bank and the Media and Communications Authority.
The Oil Ministry and SOMO confirmed that the forum, to be held on September 6 and 7, will include high-level specialized sessions discussing the future of oil and gas, energy transition issues, resource sustainability, energy security, regional and international integration in infrastructure and investment projects, with the participation of energy ministers, representatives of major companies, and experts from around the world.
The convening of the forum confirms Iraq's keenness to consolidate its role as a bridge between producers and consumers, and to strengthen its position as a vital center for regional and international initiatives aimed at formulating a more balanced and equitable shared vision for the future of global energy.
