The Baghdad International Energy Forum, organized by Ghadan Risk Management, will be held in the capital Baghdad on September 6 and 7, 2025, and will be opened by Prime Minister Mohammed Shi'a Al Sudani, with the participation of senior executives of international energy companies, energy ministers, the President of OPEC and international experts, in an event that reflects the confidence of the international community in Iraq's capabilities and its pivotal role in this vital sector.

The forum aims to highlight Iraq's great potential in the fields of oil, gas and renewable energy, as a key partner in meeting the needs of the global market and supporting international efforts to achieve sustainability.

The forum will be attended by regional and global energy ministers and global energy companies including TotalEnergies, Oman's OQ, BP, Chevron, ENI and Shell, with sessions addressing energy security, market stability and the transition to clean energy sources.

The forum is sponsored by the Iraqi Oil Marketing Company (SOMO) in partnership with the Iraqi Ministry of Oil, to provide an international platform for dialogue and exchange of visions on the future of energy in Iraq and the region, and to explore promising investment opportunities in this strategic sector.
